Red Group to Face White Group at RecZone at 12 p.m.
RALEIGH, N.C. (Sept. 15, 2003) – The Carolina Hurricanes will continue their 2003 training camp on Tuesday at the RecZone with an intra-squad scrimmage at 12 p.m. The Hurricanes will largely remain it their Red and White training camp groups for the scrimmage, with slight adjustments to balance the lineups.
Like all of Carolina’s training camp, Tuesday’s scrimmage at the RecZone is open to the public and the media. The RecZone is located at 912 Hodges St. in Raleigh.
The Hurricanes’ 2003 training camp continues at the RecZone through Thursday when the team will depart for Florida. Carolina opens its 2003 preseason schedule against the Florida Panthers at Office Depot Center on Friday, Sept. 19. Following two contests against Atlanta and one against Tampa Bay, the Hurricanes will return to Raleigh on Sept. 24 to continue training camp at the RBC Center. Carolina’s first preseason game at the RBC Center will take place Sept. 25 against Tampa Bay.
The Hurricanes open their seventh season in North Carolina on Oct. 9 at Florida, before returning to the RBC Center for their home opener, Saturday, Oct. 11 against defending Stanley Cup champion New Jersey.
