In addition, all members of the military are invited to take advantage of a special military appreciation rate for tickets to the game. Armed forces personnel may purchase lower-level tickets for $25 and upper-level tickets for $15 at the Time Warner Cable Box Office at the RBC Center with valid military identifications. The offer excludes the upper goal zone, the Lexus Champions Club and the Ledge Lounge.
This marks the fifth season that the Hurricanes have hosted Military Appreciation Day, an opportunity to thank servicemen and women for their contributions, as well as raise awareness about the branches of the military. Prior to the game, there will be a special display of military equipment on the RBC Center’s South lawn, including an Apache helicopter and an Avenger. During the game, the branches of the military will each have tables set up on the main concourse. Marivic-Len P. Marin, SrA from Pope Air Force Base will sing the national anthem prior to Saturday’s game, and the color guard will be presented by the United States Army’s 18th Airborne Corp Color Guard out of Fort Bragg.
