Hurricanes Recall Zac Dalpe from Charlotte

RALEIGH, NC – Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled forward Zac Dalpe from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Dalpe, 23, has earned two assists in seven NHL games this season with Carolina. The Paris, Ont., native ranks tied for second among Checkers skaters this season in goals (19) and third in points (38), appearing in 48 games on the AHL level. He leads the team in plus/minus (+16). Dalpe (6’1”, 190 lbs.) was selected by the Hurricanes in the second-round (45th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, and has played in 38 career NHL games with Carolina, earning nine points (4g, 5a).
