Canes, PNC Arena Collecting Hurricane Relief Items

Contributions will be delivered to Robeson County, NC on Friday

RALEIGH, NC - Don Waddell, President of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the Hurricanes and PNC Arena will host a Hurricane Matthew Relief Drive, Wednesday, Oct. 12, through Thursday, Oct. 13. Items collected will be delivered to Robeson County on Friday, Oct. 14, for use in the relief process.

Fans wishing to contribute items may do so from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday at PNC Arena's VIP Entrance, adjacent to the box office.

Items needed for relief include:

  • Water
  • Ready-to-eat foods (i.e., granola bars, bread, peanut butter)
  • Paper goods
  • Diapers
  • Baby wipes
  • Children's clothing
  • Warm clothes (sweatpants and jackets)
