Hurricanes Assign Five Players to Charlotte

Training camp roster down to 46 ahead of three-game trip

RALEIGH, NC - Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has assigned goaltender Daniel Altshuller, defenseman Josh Wesley and forwards Clark Bishop, Erik Karlsson and Kyle Hagel to the American Hockey League's Charlotte Checkers.

Carolina's training camp roster now stands at 46 players as the team heads on a three-game road trip on Sunday afternoon. The Hurricanes will practice in Raleigh on Sunday prior to traveling to Minnesota to take on the Wild Sunday evening. The Charlotte Checkers begin their 2016 training camp on Monday.
