Players to attend Lock Monsters’ training camp

RALEIGH, N.C. (Sept. 15, 2004) – Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the Carolina Hurricanes, announced today that the team has assigned 13 players to its American Hockey League affiliate, the Lowell Lock Monsters.

Forwards Ryan Bayda, Gordie Dwyer, Colin Forbes, Chad Larose, Eric Staal, and Mike Zigomanis, defensemen Sean Curry, Brad Fast, Danny Richmond, Allan Rourke and Bruno St. Jacques and goaltenders Cam Ward and Rob Zepp will report to Lowell’s training camp which begins later this month.

In addition to the above news release from Sept. 15, it should be noted that three other players in the Hurricanes’ system were assigned to Lowell. Forward Jim Henkel, defenseman Jared Newman and goaltender Craig Kowalski will attend the Lock Monsters’ training camp. Also, defenseman Ed Hill will begin 2004-05 with Carolina’s ECHL affiliate, the Florida Everblades, and goaltender Daniel Boisclair has been loaned to the Memphis RiverKings of the Central Hockey League.
