RALEIGH, NC (February 1, 2000) - The Southeast Division Champion Carolina Hurricanes announced today the team’s second annual “Hurricanes House Party,” featuring Mammoth recording artist Lokomotiv. This year’s house party will take place on Saturday, April 8, 2000, at 3:00 p.m. when Carolina faces off against Atlanta. The House Party winner receives a big screen television, food and beverages for 50 people, and a post-game concert by Lokomotiv, who hail from Norway. The winner also receives a trip for two to Norway.

“We are excited about our second annual House Party,” stated Ken Lehner, Hurricanes Senior Director of Marketing. “Last year’s party was a tremendous success, and this year, we have the added bonus of a trip to Norway for the winner. It is a home-and-home series. Lokomotiv will come to the winner’s house in April, and the winner gets to a trip to Lokomotiv’s homeland in the summer.”

Fans can register from January 20, 2000 to March 23, 2000 at,, at the Entertainment and Sports Arena, and at the Cool Tour stops.

Hurricanes fans will get a special preview of Lokomotiv on February 19, 2000, when the band plays during the first intermission and then signs autographs during the second intermission. Prior to the game on March 10, 2000, the first 10,000 fans will receive Lokomotiv cassettes and posters.
