HURRICANES ANNOUNCE HOUSE PARTY WINNERS

RALEIGH, NC (April 6, 2000) – Ken Lehner, Senior Director of Marketing for the Carolina Hurricanes, announced today David and Staci Mantz as the winners for the team’s second annual “Hurricanes House Party.” This year’s house party will take place on Saturday, April 8, 2000, at 3:00 p.m. coinciding with the Carolina Hurricanes’ road game against the Atlanta Thrashers.

As contest winners, David and Staci Mantz will receive a big screen television, food and beverages for 50 people, and a post-game concert featuring Mammoth recording artist Lokomotiv. The Apex, North Carolina residents also receive a trip for two to the band’s native Norway. Registration for the “Hurricanes House Party” took place from January 20, 2000 to March 23, 2000 at the Entertainment and Sports Arena, any of the Cool Tour stops throughout the area, and via the internet at www.caneshockey.com or www.mammoth.com.

Fans were able to get a special preview of Lokomotiv on February 19, 2000, when the band performed during the first intermission of the Hurricanes game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Prior to the Hurricanes’ game against the Boston Bruins on March 10, 2000, the team held a special promotion in which fans received Lokomotiv cassettes and posters.
