Hurricanes Announce 2010 Preseason Schedule
by Ken Preston / Carolina HurricanesRALEIGH, NC – Jason Karmanos, Vice President and Assistant General Manager for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced the team’s 2010 exhibition schedule.
The Hurricanes will open the preseason at the RBC Center on Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. against the Florida Panthers. Carolina will then play games on three consecutive nights, Thursday, Sept. 23, at Nashville, Friday, Sept. 24, against the Predators and Saturday, Sept. 25, at Atlanta. The Hurricanes will travel to South Florida to face the Panthers on Wednesday, Sept. 29, before hosting the Thrashers in Raleigh on Oct. 1.
Following their game on Oct. 1, the Hurricanes will travel to St. Petersburg, Russia, for an exhibition game against SKA St. Petersburg of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) at Ledovy Arena on Oct. 4 as a part of the 2010 NHL Premiere Challenge.

Carolina will open its 2010 NHL training camp in Raleigh on Sept. 17. Details on training camp, including dates and times of practices and other events, will be released closer to that date. The NHL will release the regular-season schedules for all 30 teams on Tuesday, June 22.
