Popular 10- and 24-game plans return for 10th Anniversary season

RALEIGH, NC—Kyle Prairie, Director of Ticket Sales for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced the team’s mini-season ticket plans for the 2007-08 season. Partial season ticket plan-holders can opt for a 24-game plan, or choose between three different 10-game plans.

The 24-game plan covers more than half of the Hurricanes’ home schedule, including opening night against the Montreal Canadiens, the New Year’s Eve match-up with the New York Islanders, and Fan Appreciation Night on April 4 against the Florida Panthers. Of the 24 games in the plan, 15 fall on Friday or Saturday nights, and just six are on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evening. The plan also features a diverse group of opponents including Western Conference visitors Colorado, Calgary, Vancouver and Edmonton – the first time the Edmonton Oilers have visited the RBC Center since Game 7 of the 2006 Stanley Cup Finals. The 24-game plan also includes both games against Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The 10-game plans offer fans different types of options for seeing a quarter of Carolina’s home games at the RBC Center. The Red pack contains nine Friday or Saturday games, including three games against Western Conference opponents and a Saturday night showdown against the Buffalo Sabres. The White pack, also known as the 10th Anniversary plan, features 10 games against 10 different opponents, highlighting opponents with whom the Hurricanes have developed rivalries during their 10 years in North Carolina, including the season opener on Oct. 3 against Montreal and additional playoff opponents from the past including Buffalo, Toronto, New Jersey, Edmonton and Boston. The Black pack also features 10 different opponents and includes the traditional New Year’s Eve game on Dec. 31 and a Valentine’s Day match-up against Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Mini-season ticket plans provide fans with many of the same advantages of full-season ticket plans, including a discount off the gate ticket price, the chance to purchase game tickets before they go on sale to the general public and priority status for ticket packages for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Mini-plan holders also have access to the Ticket Exchange Program, which allows fans to exchange unused plan tickets on one of the team’s pre-selected exchange game nights. Mini-plan holders will also receive a special annual gift from the team, be able to keep the same seat for all of their mini-plan games and have the opportunity to purchase additional single-game tickets at the gate price to avoid service charges. Seat availability for the plans will be limited, with top seat locations reserved for full-season ticket plans and more prime seat locations reserved for the 24-game plans.

Fans who choose the 24-game package will earn additional benefits, including playoff priority for their exact seat location, and a 10 percent discount on merchandise at The Eye, the official team store.
