Winger Entering Fifth Professional Season

RALEIGH, N.C. – Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the Carolina Hurricanes, announced today that the team has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with right wing Craig Adams. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not announced.

“Craig solidified his status in our lineup this past season,” said Rutherford. “Craig is a hard-working player who brings energy to our lineup and is an important part of our team.”

Adams, 26, completed his fourth professional season and third in the NHL in 2002-03. Originally drafted by Carolina in the ninth round of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, Adams scored six goals and added 12 assists in 81 games last season. In 158 career NHL games, he has recorded seven goals, 13 assists (20 points) and 129 penalty minutes.
