RALEIGH, NC - Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has activated forward Elias Lindholm from injured reserve. The team also assigned forward Andrej Nestrasil to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Lindholm, 22, has missed Carolina's last five games with an upper-body injury. The Boden, Sweden, native earned six points (2g, 4a) in seven games prior to being injured, and has notched four goals and earned nine assists (13 points) in 30 games this season. Lindholm (6'1", 192 lbs.) is in his fourth NHL season and has scored 41 goals and earned 71 assists (112 points) in 251 career NHL regular-season games with Carolina. The Hurricanes drafted Lindholm in the first round, fifth overall, in the 2013 NHL Draft.
