Bad news and good news about the NHL Network's premier of "Day in the Life" starring Hurricanes forward Chad LaRose. The episode, which was filmed in Raleigh on March 9 before, during and after Carolina's 3-0, nationally-televised victory against the New York Rangers, will premier on Thursday, April 2 at 7 p.m., at the exact same time the Hurricanes are taking the ice at the RBC Center against the Rangers again. The good news is, for those of you with DVR conflicts, the show will re-air three times:

Friday, April 3        7:30 pm
Saturday, April 4    4:00 pm
Monday, April 6         7:30 pm

I actually got a look at the rough cut last week, and Rosey definitely lived up to expectations for the 30-minute show. Along with a look at Chad's home and dogs, fans will get an excellent glimpse into his locker room persona, which was pretty genuine despite the cameras following him around. They'll also get a chance to see the type of talker Rosey is on the ice, including a few memorable encounters with the Rangers' Sean Avery. It's appointment television for sure.

The NHL Network is channel 330 on Time Warner Cable.
