RALEIGH, NC (May 17, 2000) – Fayetteville and Pinehurst in-line hockey teams that compete in the 10-and-Under Division advanced to the Canes’ Mobile Hockey Tour Championships presented by Reichhold with victories this past weekend in a one-day hockey tournament held at the Fayetteville Family YMCA.
Fayetteville posted a 2-0-0 record while Pinehurst notched a 1-1-0 mark in the three-team tournament that also included Greenville to earn spots in Carolina Hurricanes’ Mobile Hockey Tour Championships presented by Reichhold held at the Entertainment and Sports Arena on June 10-11. The Championships are designed to give local youth hockey players the opportunity to play in a quality tournament for a low cost and meet teams from across the state that they might otherwise not compete against.
The Canes Mobile Hockey Tour presented by Reichhold hosted the Canes College In-Line Hockey Tournament earlier in April. The NHL’s In-Line hockey tournament, NHL Breakout, will visit the Entertainment and Sports Arena on September 9-10.
