Justin Faulk skated prior to the Hurricanes morning skate on Friday but did not remain on the ice. He will be a game-time decision for Friday's match against Pittsburgh, head coach Bill Peters said.
"I think he's going to be able to play, but we'll see," he said.
Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Justin Faulk left practice at Raleigh Center Ice on Thursday after colliding hard with the near boards.
Faulk made his way to his feet and skated to the bench, where he was briefly looked at by Assistant Athletic Trainer Doug Bennett. He then skated slowly off the ice to be further evaluated by Head Athletic Trainer Pete Friesen.
Head coach Bill Peters had no update on Faulk immediately after practice.
