Hurricanes Host Games 1 and 2 at RBC Center

RALEIGH, NC (May 15, 2006) - The Carolina Hurricanes today announced the schedule for their Eastern Conference Final series against the Buffalo Sabres. The No. 2 seeded Hurricanes will host the No. 4 seeded Sabres at the RBC Center in Game 1 of the best-of-seven series on Saturday at 2 p.m., with Game 2 on Monday at 7:30 p.m.

Here is the schedule for the Hurricanes-Sabres series (all times Eastern):

Please note that the Hurricanes will be off on Wednesday, and there will be no media availability on that day. The Hurricanes and the Sabres will hold news conferences on Friday at the RBC Center. The Hurricanes’ news conference is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.

Carolina reached the Eastern Conference Final by virtue of a 4-1 series win against the New Jersey Devils in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The Hurricanes closed out the series against the Devils with a 4-1 win in Game 5 at the RBC Center on Sunday. The Sabres knocked off the Ottawa Senators in five games in their best-of-seven Eastern Conference Semifinals series that ended Saturday with a 3-2 Buffalo overtime win at ScotiaBank Place.
