The Wake County Public School System In-School Program is one of the many initiatives of the Canes Youth and Amateur Hockey (CYAH) division of the Promotions and Fan Development Department. The program provides professional hockey instruction from members of the Promotions staff to students, and also promotes good behavior, teamwork and sportsmanship.

The best thing about the program is that it’s free of charge, and we provide all of the necessary equipment and do all of the work! This is the sixth year the program has been in place and in order to keep things new and exciting, I have decided to start awarding one school every month as the “CYAH In-School Program of the Month.”
I am pleased to announce that Timber Drive Elementary School has been chosen as the “CYAH In-School Program of the Month” for November. This award has been presented to Trey Robinson, Vann Taylor, and their 4th and 5th grade students for their excellent participation in the program. The teachers received a certificate that they can proudly display in their school and were also given tickets to the Hurricanes game on Dec. 18 versus the Anaheim Ducks.
I would also like to thank all of the other schools who participated in the month of November, as every school did an awesome job making for a very difficult decision! If you are a principal or teacher at a Wake County school and would like to be a part of this program, please contact Kalee Stoever at email@example.com.
