Unfortunately, most of us can say that we have been affected by cancer. We may have lost a loved one, directly battled with the disease or celebrated the fight won with a cancer survivor. It is a horrible disease that is increasing as a leading killer globally.
As part of the National Hockey League’s Hockey Fights Cancer initiative, the Carolina Hurricanes will be having our Hockey Fights Cancer Night on Nov. 3. We are excited to announce that nine cancer groups will be joining us for the game to promote their causes.
Each group has the opportunity to sell tickets through their outreach efforts where a portion of each ticket sold goes back to the cancer organization. The top two ticket fundraising organizations will receive either a $7,000 or $3,000 grant courtesy of the National Hockey League. The grants are in addition to the proceeds they make from their ticket sales.
Please join us for our Hockey Fights Cancer night and help one of the cancer organizations raise funds. You will find the links below to each respective group’s website. This will allow you to buy a discounted ticket to the game and support their cause.
