Community: Canes for a Cure

by Kristina Boyce / Carolina Hurricanes
I am really close to the women in my life. My mom, twin sister, grandmas, aunts, cousins, friends, and co-workers. I never want to see one of these strong women go through the battle of breast cancer. The fact is this: one in eight women in America will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. The chance of one of the closest women in my life being diagnosed with breast cancer is very real. It is time to do something about this statistic.

The Carolina Hurricanes will be participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on June 11. We are challenging everyone to take a step back and think about the women that they love. Help take a step towards ending breast cancer forever and join or donate to the Canes for a Cure team today.

If you join our team between April 26 and May 10, you will be entered into a drawing to win an autographed photo of Cam Ward.
