I finally have an answer to everyone who has asked or wondered, “Do you know what is happening with the parking banners from the All-Star weekend?” or, “Do you know where I can buy an All-Star parking banner?” Well, I sure do!

On Saturday, March 26, when the doors open for the Hurricanes vs. Tampa Bay Lightning game, the Kids ‘N Community Foundation will be selling 100 2011 NHL All-Star parking banners at the silent auction kiosk across from section 129. The banners are of varying sizes and you can request a specific size based on availability. The sale will be first come first serve, and all proceeds will benefit the Kids ‘N Community Foundation.
Here are the details for the sale:
Price per banner: $250
Fair Market Value: $50
Therefore, you will receive a $200 tax receipt for your banner purchase.
** ONE in FIVE of the parking banners is autographed by either Eric Staal, Cam Ward, Jeff Skinner or Jamie McBain. **
This is your chance to take home a unique keepsake from the 2011 NHL All-Star weekend. You cannot buy these in the EYE or from a store in the mall. Not only will you be walking away with a banner, but also you will walk away with a warm feeling that you donated $250 to the Kids ‘N Community Foundation. The Kids ‘N Community Foundation recently received nearly $1.2 million in grant requests, and your donation will go a long way to support children’s programs in the Triangle. For example, your donation could send a kid to camp this summer, provide summer reading books to kids who need to continue reading over the summer but don’t have access to books, or fill a backpack with necessities like toiletries, non-perishable food, and new clothes for a child in need.
We hope to see you on Saturday at the Kids ‘N Community Foundation kiosk. While you are there, be sure to check out the rest of our silent auction items featuring an autographed, game-worn Tim Gleason Carolina Hurricanes helmet, a team-signed broken stick blade, and a Tampa Bay Lightning replica jersey signed by Steven Stamkos.
