Carolina Hurricanes' 1999-2000 Home Opener At Entertainment And Sports Arena Is Sold-Out; Southeast Division Champions Host New Jersey Devils On October 29

RALEIGH, NC - Dean Jordan, President and Chief Operating Officer ofGale Force Holdings, announced today that the Southeast Division ChampionCarolina Hurricanes' 1999-2000 home opener against the New Jersey Devils atthe Entertainment and Sports Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina is sold-out.The official capacity for NHL hockey at the new state-of-the-art facility is18,711.

"This is a tremendous testimony to the great hockey fans that livethroughout North Carolina," said Jordan. "On such an historic evening ourfans will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to proudly proclaim 'I WASTHERE!'."

The Hurricanes' first game at the Entertainment and Sports Arena can also beseen locally on WRAZ FOX TV 50 and heard throughout the Hurricanes RadioNetwork, anchored by flagship station 850 AM the BUZZ.

The Hurricanes play a total of 10 games at home during the month ofNovember, including weekend matchups against Southeast Division rivalsWashington Capitals (Sunday, November 7, 6:00 p.m.) and the Tampa BayLightning (Saturday, November 13, 7:30 p.m.), the defending Stanley CupChampion Dallas Stars (Saturday, November 20, 7:30 p.m.), and the PittsburghPenguins (Saturday, November 27, 7:30 p.m.).
