RALEIGH, NC—Doug Warf, Senior Director of Marketing for the Carolina Hurricanes and Executive Director of the Kids ‘N Community Foundation, today announced that the fourth annual Carolina Ale House Paper Heart and Magnet Campaign is now underway and will run through Feb. 28. The paper hearts and magnets are available at all eight North Carolina locations of the Carolina Ale House and proceeds benefit the Kids ‘N Community Foundation.
This marks the fourth year that the Carolina Ale House has partnered with the Kids ‘N Community Foundation for this fundraising campaign. The paper hearts, which can be signed by the purchasing patron, cost $1 and will be hung in each respective location. Newly designed magnets featuring the text “Hockey with Heart,” and the Kids ‘N Community Foundation logo, are $3 each and can be kept by the purchaser. The 2010 Paper Hearts Campaign raised more than $6,000 for the Kids ‘N Community Foundation.
To help support this year’s campaign, Hurricanes forward Troy Bodie will be at the Carolina Ale House in Cary on Monday, Feb. 14, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. For the first half hour, Bodie will congratulate Raleigh’s Capital City Crew at the team’s end-of-year banquet, hosted by the Carolina Ale House. He will then help promote the paper heart and magnet campaign by acting as a celebrity bartender and host.
