RALEIGH, NC - Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team will host a Toy Drive presented by Buffalo Brothers from Dec. 8-17. The Toy Drive will benefit the Durham Children's Initiative (DCI). Fans that donate one (1) new, unopened toy will be entered to win autographed Hurricanes prizes.

Donations will be accepted at The Eye Store during store hours and at the Hurricanes' two Holiday Stormy Events. On Friday, Dec. 11 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 12 from 12-2 p.m., Stormy Claus will be on the South Plaza at PNC Arena to wave hello to fans from a safe distance. Photos may be taken from a distance, but fans are asked to please remain in their cars, practice social distancing and adhere to all city, county and state guidelines.
The first 250 fans to donate a toy at the Holiday Stormy Events will receive a street hockey stick, a foam puck and a free appetizer coupon courtesy of Buffalo Brothers. Donors are encouraged to enter PNC Arena through Gate E via Edwards Mill Road and follow Stephen Stroud Way around the building towards the South Plaza, located across from Carter-Finley Stadium.

- Action figures and dolls
- Puzzles and board games
- Sports equipment
