RALEIGH, NC – The Carolina Hurricanes will host the 2005 NHL Draft Insider Luncheon at noon on Saturday, July 30, at the Carolina Ale House located at 4512 Falls of the Neuse Rd., in Raleigh. Hurricanes center Rod Brind'Amour and Assistant Coaches Kevin McCarthy and Jeff Daniels will be on hand to watch the draft coverage live via satellite from Ottawa and to take part in a question-and-answer session with fans. Carolina's television play-by-play voice John Forslund will emcee the event.
With the third overall selection, the Hurricanes will likely be active in the opening 15-30 minutes of the draft. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the Carolina Ale House by 11:30 a.m. to take advantage of food and drink specials prior to the start of the draft. Following the Hurricanes initial pick, fans can participate in a question-and-answer session with Brind'Amour, McCarthy and Daniels.
There will be no charge for admission to the 2005 NHL Draft Insider Luncheon. Hurricanes ticket sales representatives will be on hand to answer questions regarding ticket plans for the 2005-06 season.
