RALEIGH, NC – Jon Chase, Director of Community Relations and Promotions for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced the details for Fan Appreciation Week, which will be held in conjunction with the team’s final three regular-season home games, April 3-10.

On Thursday, April 3, the Carolina Hurricanes host the Dallas Stars at 7 p.m. at PNC Arena. The first 10,000 fans to attend the game will receive a limited edition Justin Faulk bobblehead, sponsored by Compuware. Following the game, fans 18 years and older can take a shot on goal from center ice, and be entered to win pizza for a year, in the Adult Slap Shot event presented by Papa John’s.

On Saturday, April 5, the team will celebrate “Stormy’s Birthday,” as the Hurricanes take on the New Jersey Devils at 7 p.m. Beginning at 5 p.m., fans can enjoy a south plaza party at PNC Arena, featuring live music by Scarlett, an inflatable obstacle course, a Hurricanes moon bounce, street hockey, the slap shot booth, food and beverage and interactive sponsor booths. All fans in attendance for the game will receive a Carolina Hurricanes team poster, sponsored by “Booze It and Lose It” and the North Carolina Governor’s Highway Safety Program.

Following Saturday’s game, select fans will be invited onto the ice to receive an authentic jersey directly from a Hurricanes player. There are a number of ways for attendees to participate in the experience. Fans can bid on Anton Khudobin’s jersey at the Kids ‘N Community Foundation kiosk located outside of section 129. Fans may also enter several contests to determine the winners of select player jerseys. Caniacs can attempt to win a Nathan Gerbe sweater and two tickets to the Devils game by entering the team’s Instagram contest, described on this page. Manny Malhotra’s jersey will be awarded through the team’s Canes Rewards program, which is explained here. Fans can also visit to enter to win an Elias Lindholm jersey.

After the “jersey off a player’s back” ceremony, all fans are invited to the ice to have their pictures taken on the team bench or in the penalty box as part of “Snap Shot Saturday.” Participants must bring their own cameras.

The Hurricanes play their final home game of the 2013-14 regular season when they host the Washington Capitals on Thursday, April 10 at 7 p.m. Fans can again enjoy a south plaza party prior to that night’s game, beginning at 5 p.m. The first 15,000 fans in attendance will receive a Hurricanes hat, sponsored by Chevrolet.
