RALEIGH, NC - Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled goaltender Scott Darling from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Darling, 29, has posted a 2-4-1 record with a 3.14 goals-against average and a .892 save percentage in seven games with the Hurricanes this season. The Newport News, Va., native has earned a 15-25-8 record with a 3.17 goals-against average and .889 save percentage since being acquired by the Hurricanes from the Chicago Blackhawks on April 29, 2017. Darling appeared in five games with the Checkers (AHL) this season, posting a 3-1-0 record with a 2.35 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage.
