RALEIGH, NC - Don Waddell, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled forward Patrick Brown from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Brown, 26, has recorded 18 points (10g, 8a) in 46 AHL games with Charlotte in 2018-19. The 5'11", 214-pound forward is in his third season as captain of the Checkers, and he has posted 108 points (44g, 64a) in 310 career AHL games with Charlotte. Brown signed with the Hurricanes as an undrafted free agent on April 12, 2014, and made his NHL debut against the New York Islanders on Oct. 10, 2014. The Bloomfield, Mich., native has played 28 career NHL games with Carolina, registering two points (1g, 1a). Brown played four seasons of college hockey at Boston College from 2010-14, winning a National Championship in 2011-12 and serving as captain of the Eagles in 2013-14.
