– Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled forward Chris Terry
from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL) on an emergency basis.
Terry, 24, has played in eight NHL games with Carolina this season, averaging 11:38 of ice time per game. The Brampton, Ont., native ranks second among Charlotte skaters this season in goals (28), power-play goals (14) and points (66) and first in assists (38) in 63 games. Terry (5’10”, 195 lbs.) has scored one goal in 11 career NHL games with Carolina since being drafted by the Hurricanes in the fifth round, 132nd overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
