Canes Head to Brooklyn for Nationally Televised Broadcast

by Michael Smith / Carolina Hurricanes

The Carolina Hurricanes will receive national television billing once during the 2016-17 regular season when they head to Brooklyn in March.

The Canes will be featured on NBCSN on Monday, March 13 when the team faces off with the New York Islanders at Barclays Center, the first game in a back-to-back, home-and-home match-up between the two clubs. Originally slated for a 7 p.m. star time, faceoff has been moved to 7:30 p.m. to accommodate the television schedule.

The Hurricanes’ 81 remaining games will be televised by FOX Sports, a majority of which will be carried by FOX Sports Carolinas with sister network FOX Sports Southeast (formerly SportsSouth) picking up the balance. A full breakdown of the local television schedule will be released later this summer.
