RALEIGH, NC - The National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, in conjunction with Greater Raleigh Merchants Association and Shop Local Raleigh, today announced the Carolina Hurricanes Fan Fest in downtown Raleigh on Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The family-friendly event will be open to the public, free of charge.

The Carolina Hurricanes Fan Fest will celebrate the organization's 25 years in North Carolina and feature Hurricanes alumni, street hockey and ice skating, as well as local vendors, food trucks, craft beer, live music, art installations, photo stations, kids' zone activations and inflatables. The event will run on Fayetteville Street, from City Plaza to the State Capitol.
"We're excited to partner with Shop Local Raleigh to provide the Carolina Hurricanes Fan Fest, another tentpole event for a weekend that has long been in the works," said Mike Forman, Hurricanes Chief Marketing Officer. "Thanks to the generous support of many constituents, including the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau, Centennial Authority, City of Raleigh, Wake County and the State of North Carolina, we will be able to put on this free event for the entire community and provide entertainment for all of our out-of-town visitors."
"The Carolina Hurricanes Fan Fest is going to be the largest winter event we've seen come to downtown Raleigh in decades and is going to be an event that's not to be missed. The commitment from the Carolina Hurricanes and area partners to make this event happen are making this THE event of 2023," said Jennifer Martin, Executive Director Shop Local Raleigh.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for the Fan Fest, and vendor applications are being accepted now. To inquire about sponsorships and receive more information about becoming a vendor at the event, please contact Shop Local Raleigh, the Fan Fest's organizer.
