RALEIGH, NC— Jon Chase, Director of Community Relations and Promotions for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced the details of Fan Appreciation Week, which will be held in conjunction with the team’s final two regular-season home games.
On Saturday, April 3, the Hurricanes will host the New Jersey Devils at 7 p.m. at the RBC Center. Prior to the game, fans can enjoy live music, an inflatable obstacle course, a Hurricanes moon bounce, street hockey, the slap shot booth and food and beverage on the RBC Center’s front lawn. The first 15,000 fans inside the building will receive a Carolina Hurricanes team poster sponsored by the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
Following the game on April 3, more than 20 lucky fans will receive an authentic jersey directly from a Carolina Hurricanes player in a special on-ice ceremony. The Hurricanes black jerseys will be given away to season ticket holders, corporate partners, contest entrants and random fans in attendance at the game. Fans can enter to win a jersey by visiting the Carolina Hurricanes Facebook page, following the link sent by CanesConnect on March 26, or by visiting the promotions and fan development kiosk located outside of section 108 prior to the end of the second intermission during the home games on March 27 and April 3. Fans may also bid to win the jersey off of Zach Boychuk’s back during the Kids ‘N Community Foundation’s silent auction outside of section 129. The auction winner will receive the jersey directly from Boychuk on the ice following the game.
On Thursday, April 8, the team will host the Montreal Canadiens in the final home game of the regular season at 7:30 p.m. at the RBC Center. Fans can enjoy festivities on the RBC Center’s front lawn prior to the game, sponsored by Time Warner Cable, which will include live music, food and beverage and the chance for fans to win a prize pack by visiting the North Carolina Education Lottery table.
