Defenseman eligible to play tonight against Minnesota

RALEIGH, NC— Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has activated defenseman Dennis Seidenberg from injured reserve. Seidenberg is eligible to play in tonight’s game against the Minnesota Wild at the RBC Center.

Seidenberg, 26, has 12 assists in 39 games for the Hurricanes this season. The Schwenningen, Germany, native has totaled nine goals and 42 assists (51 points) in 217 career NHL games with Philadelphia, Phoenix and Carolina.
