, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has activated defenseman Brett Pesce
from injured reserve. He will be eligible to play for Carolina tonight as it hosts the Pittsburgh Penguins at PNC Arena.
Pesce, 21, was placed on injured reserve on Jan. 31, and has missed the Hurricanes’ last three games with a lower-body injury. The Tarrytown, NY, native made his NHL debut on Oct. 24, and has scored four goals and earned eight assists (12 points) in 41 Hurricanes games this year. He began the 2015-16 season with Carolina’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers, notching a goal and two assists in three games. The Hurricanes drafted Pesce in the third round, 66th overall, in the 2013 NHL Draft.
