I know some people have been curious about Scott Walker and Niclas Wallin, who both left the Canes' most recent game in Pittsburgh with injuries.
It's very tough to say for sure since players all go their separate ways for vacations during the break and aren't at the rink or in the training room on a daily basis, but neither injury was believed to be too serious as of Tuesday night.
Wallin might miss a few games after the break with a possible recurrence of the ankle injury he suffered earlier in the year. Those things are persistent, aren't they? Tim Gleason
has been struggling with a similar problem. Of course, anyone who has ever rolled their ankle knows it's not unusual to have a setback now and then in the longer-term recovery process - both players have had them already. The break comes at a good time for Wallin.
The team was being on the safe side with Walker, who got a little banged up but actually felt OK to return in the Pittsburgh game. Don't expect him to miss any time.
