VEGAS (June 1, 2023)- Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmonannounced today, June 1, that the team has signed goaltender Carl Lindbomto a three-year, entry-level contract.

Lindbom, who was drafted by Vegas in the seventh round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft (222nd overall), recently completed his first full season playing in Sweden's HockeyAllsvenskan with Djurgårdens IF. Lindbom was named the league's Goalie of the Year and Rookie of the Year after leading all netminders with a 1.86 GAA and seven shutouts in 36 games during the 2022-23 season.

The 20-year-old has represented Sweden internationally, including at the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship in Canada. Lindbom was the only goaltender to see action for Sweden and posted a 2.64 GAA and .914 save percentage in seven games to help his team to a 4-3 record during the tournament. His two shutouts were the most among all goalies in the annual competition. Lindbom also earned a bronze medal with Sweden during the World Junior Championship in 2022.
