The first of 16 VGK Replays features a throwback contest between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Ottawa Senators from Oct. 28, 2018 on AT&T SportsNet at 7 p.m.
TV: AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain (7 p.m.)
After Matt Duchene and Bobby Ryan gave the Senators a 2-0 lead, Alex Tuch netted the first goal for Vegas at the 15:14 mark of the second period. Ryan Reaves added a goal of his own with less than two minutes left in the frame to send the teams into the third tied at 2-2. Ryan Dzingel gave Ottawa a 3-2 edge at 7:49 of the third, but Tuch's second of the game came just 28 seconds later. When the game went into overtime, Jonathan Marchessault was hooked on a breakaway by eventual-teammate Mark Stone to trigger a penalty shot. Marchessault swung wide on the right wing, closed in on goalie Crain Anderson, and tucked a shot inside the right post to lift the Golden Knights to victory.
AT THE TIME
The victory against Ottawa came at the perfect time for the Golden Knights as they'd dropped two games in a row on home ice before the Sunday evening contest. The win improved Vegas' record to 5-5-1 on the young season.
