To kick off Halloween, the Vegas Golden Knights participated in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's 'Trunk or Treat' hosted by the Enterprise Area Command on Oct. 27. This event provides a safe and fun way for families to Trick or Treat. Among those that attended were Vegas players Jake Leschyshyn and Paul Cotter, along with Chance and the Vegas Vivas. Candy and stickers were passed out to fans that replicated the Nevada Day jersey that players wore the next day in their games against the Anaheim Ducks.
The Golden Knights and Silver Knights celebrated Nevada Day and First Responders Day by wearing special edition jerseys for warmups. The jerseys featured a patch honoring recent fallen officer, Truong Thai, of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Officer Thai tragically passed away on Oct. 13 after responding to a domestic violence call. The player-worn jerseys were then sold during the game through VGK Authentics. A portion of the Henderson Silver Knights and Vegas Golden Knights jersey proceeds will be donated by the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in honor of Officer Thai. Additionally, fans filled out signs on the concourse to honor First Responders in the community.
A donation site was also created for anyone looking to support officer Truong Thai. Fans and supporters can make a contribution that will be donated to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. If you would like to donate, you can do so by
