VEGAS (August 5, 2017) - Following an arbitration decision, Vegas Golden Knights General Manager George McPhee announced today, August 5, that the team has signed defenseman Nate Schmidt to a two-year contract through the 2018-19 season worth an average annual value of $2,225,000.
Schmidt was selected by the Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft on June 21 (Washington Capitals).

-Has 43 points (8 G, 35 A) in 200 career NHL games
-Was a college teammate and roommate of current Golden Knights forward Erik Haula at the University of Minnesota
