VEGAS (July 28, 2020) - The Vegas Golden Knights announced today, July 28, that the organization has entered into a partnership with Homie, a tech-based real estate brokerage company. The partnership designates Homie as an official partner of the Golden Knights.
"We are tremendously excited to partner with Homie," said Vegas Golden Knights President Kerry Bubolz. "It's evident that Homie and the Vegas Golden Knights share a common goal of strengthening and advancing the remarkable Las Vegas community that we are all proud to call home."
"We are so excited to partner with the Golden Knights who will help to spread the word about how we are working to keep people in their homes amidst this terrible economic and healthcare crisis," said Kris Cuaresma-Primm, general manager for Homie in Las Vegas. "We know how beloved the Golden Knights are in Las Vegas and to have them have our back in this effort is tremendous."
Founded in Utah in 2015, Homie has operated in Las Vegas since March of 2020. As part of its Homie Helps initiative, Homie is currently waiving all listing fees for those who must now sell their home because of personal financial hardship due to COVID-19. The company is also donating up to $100,000 to the United Way Southern Nevada's Emergency Assistance and Community Needs Fund to help Las Vegans most impacted by COVID-19 avoid home foreclosure and pay utility bills. Homie donated an initial $10,000 and will donate $500 for every home bought or sold with the company in Southern Nevada.
As an official partner of the Golden Knights, Homie will also be promoted during the team's official home games at T-Mobile Arena, including a "Saves For Charity" sponsorship, with Homie contributing funds for each save made during a game to its Homie Helps initiative.
