The Vegas Golden Knights endured their first loss of the second round as they fell to the Vancouver Canucks, 5-2, in Game 2 of their best-of-seven set. The series is now tied at 1-1.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
In his first game since the qualifying round, Tyler Toffoli lit the lamp just 1:29 into the game to put Vancouver up, 1-0. Toffoli set up Bo Horvat later in the period to give the Canucks a 2-0 edge. In the middle frame, Alex Tuch's sixth goal of the playoffs brought the Golden Knights to within one, but Elias Pettersson scored late in the period to rebuild the two-goal lead. Horvat scored again in the third to extend the lead to 4-1 before Max Pacioretty found the back of the net late for his third goal in as many games. Tanner Pearson scored an empty-net goal as Vancouver snatched the victory.
THE SERIES SO FAR
Vegas skated to a 5-0 win in Game 1 of the series as five different skaters found the back of the net. Robin Lehner posted his first career playoff shutout in the win. In Game 2, Vancouver answered with the 5-2 win.
LOOKING AHEAD
Game 3 of the series is set for 6:45 p.m. PT Thursday at Rogers Place as the Golden Knights and Canucks do battle once again.
