Vegas Extends First-Place Lead With 5-1 Win vs. Wild

Fleury shines in second outing versus Wild

Marc-Andre Fleury made 36 saves as the Vegas Golden Knights (14-4-1) defeated the Minnesota Wild (12-7-1), 5-1, on Wednesday night at T-Mobile Arena.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
Two minutes into the opening period, Cody Glass found Alex Tuch with a backhand pass for the Golden Knights to take an early 1-0 lead. Vegas killed off two Minnesota power plays to hold the one-goal advantage through end the first period. Alex Tuch added to his point total in the second period by finding Jonathan Marchessault for the power-play goal to put Vegas up 2-0. Halfway through the second Marcus Foligno scored to cut the lead to one. Vegas answered back with three goals in the third period from Mark Stone, Chandler Stephenson, and William Karlsson to secure the 5-1 Golden Knights victory.

TOP PERFORMERS
Marc-Andre Fleury: Fleury made 36 saves on 37 shots.

Alex Tuch: Tuch was responsible for a goal and an assist.

Chandler Stephenson: Stephenson notched a goal and an assist.

All five Vegas goals were scored by different players.
