The Vegas Golden Knights were defeated by the Montreal Canadiens, 5-4, in overtime on Halloween night at T-Mobile Arena.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
After the Canadiens took a 1-0 lead early in the opening period, William Karlsson scored his third goal in as many games to get the home team on the board. In the final minute of the frame, Alex Tuch netted his first goal of the season as Vegas carried a 2-1 lead into the intermission. Jonathan Drouin scored the lone goal in the middle period to send the Canadiens and Golden Knights into the third level at 2-2. Cody Glass started the period with his third goal of the season. Stone followed up with his eighth goal of the year to give the Golden Knights a 4-2 lead. Montreal scored two late goals to tie the game before Max Domi's overtime-winning goal at 27 seconds of the extra session.

Cody Eakin: Eakin's two assists were the most of any Golden Knight on the evening.
Max Pacioretty: Pacioretty registered his 500th career point with his assist on Stone's goal.
