In the final home game of the regular season, the Vegas Golden Knights were defeated by the Arizona Coyotes, 4-1, on Thursday night at T-Mobile Arena.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
Mark Stone opened the scoring late in the first period when he slipped a backhand shot through Darcy Kuemper's legs for the game's first goal. The lead disappeared 57 seconds later when Richard Panik tied the score and the teams reached the first intermission level at 1-1. Derek Stepan scored twice during the second period to give Arizona a 3-1 lead heading into the third period. Connor Garland extended the Arizona lead to 4-1 in the latter half of the third period and the visitors held on to win by three goals.

TURNING POINT
Garland's goal in the third period foiled the Golden Knights' plans of a comeback as the Coyotes pulled away late in the game.
