Logan Thompson recorded his first shutout of the season as the Vegas Golden Knights skated to a 1-0 Opening Knight victory against the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday night at T-Mobile Arena.

After a scoreless opening frame, Paul Cotter got the Golden Knights on the board at 8:44 of the second period. Vegas locked down defensively in the third and fought off Chicago's late push to secure the 1-0 win.
