HOW IT WENT DOWN
Chandler Stephenson converted on a power play late in the first period to give Vegas a 1-0 lead. Midway through the second, William Karlsson set up Reilly Smith for a shorthanded goal to extend the Vegas lead to 2-0. Karlsson and Nicolas Roy each found the back of the net in the final five minutes of the middle frame as the Golden Knights carried a four-goal advantage into the second intermission. Thompson held down the fort in the third period as Vegas earned its third win in a row.
