In the early morning hours of Saturday, July 30, Las Vegas was quiet.
Just a few cars skittering up and down the streets and hardly a pedestrian in sight, just hours after The Strip was absolutely hopping with activity.
In the moments just after 7:00 AM, however, something historic was occuring at T-Mobile Arena, which for the first time was installing NHL-quality ice onto the eventual playing surface.

Here is what it looked like as T-Mobile Arena moved one important step closer to Opening Night, 2017-18.

This is how they precisely painted on the faceoff markings.
While this is how it looked as they measured for the red line and both blue lines.
Then they started painting on the blue lines.
Leading to T-Mobile Arena's first-ever blue line.

Then it was time to get center ice ready to look perfect.
