12-22-Postgame

Malcolm Subban made 37 saves for the Vegas Golden Knights (20-13-6) as they skated to a 3-1 win against the San Jose Sharks (16-20-2) on Sunday night at SAP Center. The win gave the Golden Knights a 1-0-1 record on their annual Fathers Trip.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
After a scoreless first period, Vegas broke through with a goal from Paul Stastny at 17:31 of the middle frame. Logan Couture scored to level the score in the third period, but Shea Theodore's go-ahead goal gave the Golden Knights the lead with 12:55 left in the contest. Jonathan Marchessault buried his 12th goal of the season in the final four minutes to extend the Vegas lead to 3-1 and Subban shut the Sharks down as the clock wound down on the win.

TURNING POINT
After Couture tied the game early in the third, the Golden Knights turned up the heat with the goal of re-taking the lead. Theodore's goal accomplished that and Marchessault's insurance marker was all Vegas needed to steal the win in the third period.
