The Vegas Golden Knights (22-7-1) notched a 5-1 victory against the St. Louis Blues (16-11-5) on Monday night at T-Mobile Arena.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
Midway through the first period, Jonathan Marchessault pulled the puck out of a faceoff scrum and fired a shot through Jordan Binnington to put the Golden Knights ahead, 1-0. Vegas held the lead until Vince Dunn's tally at 6:42 of the second to knot the score at one apiece. Early in the final frame Mark Stone scored to rebuild the lead for Vegas. Keegan Kolesar buried his first NHL goal and William Karlsson added a power-play goal to put the Golden Knights ahead by three goals. Stone added another tally as the home team came away with a 5-1 victory.

Mark Stone: Stone's three-point (2G, 1A) night helped drive the offense for Vegas.
William Karlsson: Karlsson notched a goal and two assists.
Jonathan Marchessault: Marchessault posted two points (1G, 1A).
Keegan Kolesar: Kolesar's first NHL goal provided insurance for the Golden Knights.

Stone's game-winning goal was his seventh of the season. That ties the NHL lead in that category.
