Starting Five - Vegas defeats Washington for Third Straight

Look back at the Golden Knights' 3-2 win against the Capitals

by Gordon Weigers @GoldenKnights /

There are always extra eyes fixed on matchups between the Washington Capitals and Vegas Golden Knights. After the Capitals won their only head-to-head contest in D.C. in November, the Golden Knights answered with a win of their own - their third in a row - as they downed Washington, 3-2, on Feb. 17.

The Gold Pads Strike Again
Marc-Andre Fleury improved to 2-0-0 in goal since bringing his gold pads back to the rink.

Net-Front Nick!
Defenseman Nick Holden can fire booming shots from the blueline. You won't often find him in front of the opposing net, but that's exactly where he scored the first goal of the game against the Caps.

Smith Finds the Roof
Reilly Smith scored for the second game in a row as he finished this bang-bang play by lifting it high into the cage.

William Karlsson fooled everyone as he flipped the puck from behind the net to Max Pacioretty who was wide open on the right side to net his 27th goal of the season.

Stephenson Beats his Former Mates
