Starting Five - Golden Knights Take Care of Coyotes

Look back at a 4-1 win for Vegas against Arizona

by Gordon Weigers @GoldenKnights /

The Vegas Golden Knights landed in Vegas the night of Dec. 27 after a tough 4-3 loss to the Anaheim Ducks. As is the nature of the NHL schedule, the Golden Knights had an opportunity to bounce back on Dec. 28 in a home game against the Arizona Coyotes.

Strong performances from Mark Stone, Max Pacioretty and Shea Theodore helped Marc-Andre Fleury climb the all-time wins list on this lucky writer's birthday at T-Mobile Arena.

Like a Rolling Stone
Stone notched two goals in the first period to give Vegas all it needed to nab the win against Arizona. The dude just has fun out there.

Look Out, CuJo
With his 454th NHL win, Fleury tied Curtis Joseph for sixth on the all-time wins list. He made 27 saves for the win including this robbery of Michael Grabner.

Shea Three-odore
Theodore was dishing out assists all night as he picked up three helpers in the game. Just 12 seconds into the second period, Theodore sprung Chandler Stephenson for this slick wrister.

Kolesar's NHL Debut
Keegan Kolesar became a VGK prospect after a trade with Columbus in 2017. Two years later, he hit the NHL ice for the first time as a Golden Knight.

Pham Fam
San Diego Padres outfielder and Las Vegas native Tommy Pham was on hand for the game and he fired up the fans with a siren crank to start the third period.
